Lovelady’s Williams Tabbed As Class 2A First Team Running Back

Lovelady senior Emanual Williams was a dual honoree on the Class 2A TSWA All-State Team, earning a spot on the Class 2A First Team Offense as a running back, as well as Honorable Mention as a kick returner.

Williams (5-9, 175) led the Lions during their deep 2015 playoff run with over 2,500 rushing yards and 51 touchdowns.
TSWA members also selected the top athletes in each classification.

Canadian, which won the 2A Division I state football championship, swept Player of the Year Honors.

Senior quarterback Tanner Schaefer took offensive honors by throwing for 4,053 yards with 49 touchdowns and two interceptions.

He was a repeat winner as he was 31-0 as the team's starting quarterback. Senior lineman Cory Chidester grabbed defensive honors after 75 tackles for losses, 21 of them sacks. 2A Coach of the Year is Jeff Kasowski of Bremond.
