Dogs Earn All-District Awards


After dominating their district for the second straight year with an undefeated record, the Crockett Bulldogs were rewarded with 18 All-District basketball honors, including three Superlatives.

The selections also included two Bulldogs on the First Team, three on the Second Team, five Honorable Mentions, and five Academic All-District Honors.

District 21-3A coaches tabbed Crockett senior Tony Robinson as District MVP and senior Voshon Elem as Defensive MVP.

Bulldog head coach Andre Emmons was recognized by his peers as Coach of the Year.

Superlatives were also awarded to athletes from two district rivals. Hicks of Westwood was selected Offensive MVP and Simmons of Elkhart was tabbed Newcomer of the Year.

First Team honorees for the Bulldogs were seniors Javonte Mask and JaMarcus Moten.
Bulldogs selected for the Second Team were senior Don Gilbert, sophomore Xavion Dixon, and junior De'Andre Anderson.

Honorable Mention went to junior Vunterrius Leonard; junior Leyth Jaber; sophomore Octavius Anderson; junior Rasheed Epps, and senior Cordale Wooten

Achieving Academic All-District status were Tony Robinson, Javonte Mask, JaMarcus Moten, Octavius Anderson and freshman Jurmond Wooten.
