KHS boys win at Richards

Kennard Tigers cruised to a 67-50 road win over Richards on Friday, Jan. 23 to give them a 5-1 record midway through District 27-A.

The Tigers led 20-11 at the end of the first quarter, 34-23 at the break and 55-33 after three quarters.

Austin Gladden turned in a double-double performance with 22 points (1 trey) and 13 rebounds. He also had 6 assists and 2 steals.

O'keefe Peterson had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. Chris Hamlin scored 12, in addition to getting 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 3 steals. Shaun Griffin had 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals.

Keith Griffin, who scored 5 (1 trey), was also credited with 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Matt Moore finished with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Tigers faced No.7-ranked Calvert (6-0) on Tuesday and will have a district bye on Friday, Jan. 30.
