Lady Bulldogs drop season opener

Crockett Lady Bulldogs came out blazing and appeared headed for an easy victory in their season opener against Madisonville on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at The Hop.

Crockett was in charge 20-7 at the end of the first frame, but the Lady Mustangs took control in the second quarter to win 60-44.

"We started off strong but couldn't finish," said CHS head coach TaNesiah Johnson.
Beverly Ross led Crockett's scoring with 10 points.

Hosting a Shoot-Out Classic, the Lady Bulldogs recorded their first victory of the year against Anderson-Shiro 57-44 on Thursday, Nov. 20.

Antraneisha McKnight led with 18 points, followed by Donkey James with 16, and Beverly Ross and Brianna Houston (one trey) with 10 apiece. Shelby Corry also drained a three-pointer.
After the tournament, the Lady Dogs will be idle until Dec. 2 when they host Garrison for varsity and junior varsity match-ups.

The Lady Dogs JV lost their season opener to Madisonville 38-27 on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at The Hop. Tracina Moten led Crockett's scoring with 14 points.
