Latexo High School recently elected Jace Skalicky and Karson Patton as the 2015 Homecoming King and Queen.
Latexo High School held its homecoming coronationon Saturday, Jan. 17 in the LHS gym. The LHS Student Council sponsored the event.
The theme for the evening was "Glitz and Glam", complete with spotlights and a center gazebo that served as the stage for introducing all of the candidates to the audience members.
Returning to oversee the night's activities and crown the 2015 royalty were the 2014 King and Queen, Salar Khokhar and Jordan Lane.
Candidates running for Duke and Duchess and representing the seventh and eighth grades were Jonathan Luce and Harleigh Beavers, Colby Thornton and Ashley Oswald, Blake McCoy and Destiny Filer, and Jack Woodford and Bailey Ingle.
Presented with the titles of Duke and Duchess were Jack Woodford and Bailey Ingle, eighth grade representatives.
Candidates running for Prince and Princess and representing the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades were Reese Filer and Jasmine Simon, Peyton Turn and Kelsey Patterson, Charles Rothrock and Emily Cook, Wyatt Sales and Haylee Frizzell, Landon Duren and Shala Creswell, and Jacob McLeod and Shelby Keene. Presented with the titles of Prince and Princess were Landon Duren and Shala Creswell, representing the Junior Class.
Competing for the titles of King and Queen were seniors Hunter Bodine and Presley Ellis, Chase Hutcherson and Ashlee Frizzell, J'Mariaun Taylor and Karson Patton, and Jace Skalicky and Ashley Rothrock.
