CFD Responds To Fire At Dispatcher’s Home; Donations Accepted For Family

Dear Members of Our Community,

We recently responded to a fire in one of our own dispatcher's homes. The fire was contained mainly to kitchen area but heavy smoke and heat damaged all of her kitchen appliances and kitchen-related items.

Other items that were damaged include her living room couches and some clothes. Thankfully, her and her husband only sustained very minor burns and they were able to get out of their home safely with their two children.

We are asking your help in money donations to help her and her family in getting back on their feet. They also need the kitchen items, appliances, couches and some clothes if anyone has any of these they wish to donate.

We will take any nice clothes in the following sizes: Boy's Pants – Size 16, Boy's Shirts – Large or X-Large,
Woman's Pants – Size 18, Girl's or Woman's Shirts – Size 2X or 3X.

Donations can be sent or dropped off at the Crockett Fire Station, Police Station or Crockett City Hall. If you wish to receive a tax-deductible receipt, please send or bring your cash or checks to the Crockett Fire Department and write in Jessica Ross in the memo.

You can also make a donation in her name at Prosperity Bank – Crockett Fire Dept Benefit Fund and all proceeds will go towards helping her and her family.

Crockett Fire Station Address: 202 North 6th St. Crockett, TX 75835.

Thank you in advance,
John Angerstein
Crockett Fire Chief
