Hill-Intelisano murderA little over two weeks after being shot, Frank Thomas, 61, of Crockett passed away in a Houston hospital Friday morning, Jan. 29, according to officials at the Houston County Sheriff's Office.

Upon hearing of Thomas' death, Sheriff Darrel Bobbitt met with his investigative staff and decided to seek murder charges and arrest warrants on the two men allegedly involved with the Jan. 13 shooting of Thomas.

"An autopsy has been ordered and will be completed by the Medical Examiner's Office in Houston, Texas. However, we are certain that the cause of death was due to the gunshot wound he received on Jan. 13 and that is why we are seeking murder warrants on both parties," HCSO officials explained.

One suspect, 31-year-old Brandon Hill of Crockett, was arrested Friday and will be magistrated on the murder charge, the HCSO reported Friday afternoon.

The other suspect, Leonard Intelisano, 73, of Crockett, reportedly is in a hospital. HCSO officials stated he will be arrested upon receipt of medical clearance.

Bobbitt said he would like to express his condolences to the family and asks for prayers for the involved.
The HCSO also reminds all concerned that all suspects are considered not guilty until proven otherwise in a court of law.
