County Launches Tourism Website

Houston County announced its new tourism website,, went live on Friday, Feb. 20.
Funded through the Houston County Hotel Occupancy Tax fund, the website is dedicated to the promotion of tourism in Houston County.

Much time and effort went into the structuring of the website, according to county officials.

Mikey Osborne, CEO/web developer of MODesigns, a Crockett-based website hosting and development business, created a site that will help Houston County visitors find everything they want to see and do while visiting the area, officials stated.

The site is user-friendly, with easy to "surf" sections that include attractions, entertainment, a photo gallery, where to stay, shop and dine, and an events calendar highlighting upcoming events in the area.

There is no charge for Houston County toursm-related businesses to be listed on the website.
